Normal Surfactants
Surfactants clean deeply through emulsifying and dissolving, penetrating the skin and removing most oil and keratin. It strips away microbiota living on the skin, and removes most of the skin sebum membrane. This kills the natural ecosystem, leaves the skin dry and unprotected, makes the stratum corneum irritated and leads to overproduction of sebum and oils to compensate.
Lactomaizol
Lactomaizol gently absorbs excess oil and keratin without destroying the natural microbiome. It does not damage the skin barrier layer and does not penetrate the skin. It cleans without drying the skin out and leaves the sebum membrane and the natural ecosystem intact. This means naturally moist skin and no overproduction of oils and keratin to soothe damaged skin.
